This updated briefing note outlines Water UK’s position on the Environment Bill for the Lords second reading, and how lawmakers can improve the legislation.

While we welcome the ambition and much within the Bill, there are areas we believe that can be enhanced. This is why we are calling for action on water efficiency, modernising management of surface water, tackling single use plastics, and refining the new regulatory frameworks that the Bill introduces.
