Meet the people keeping our water running

All over the UK water company personnel are working hard to keep the nation’s water running during the current COVID-19 crisis.

Whether it’s replacing pipes, repairing leaks or supporting customers to access the help they need water industry workers are at the frontline during this difficult time.

The Government has officially designated water and sewerage workers as ‘key workers’ in a critical public service – and as a result you may see water personnel out on UK streets carrying out critical maintenance, laying new pipes, finding and fixing leaks and unblocking sewers.

However, many more water company staff are working tirelessly behind the scenes so companies can continue to provide the level of service customers expect.
