Partnerships with investors
The water sector has delivered major benefits to customers, society and the environment over the past 25 years. Our water supplies are even more reliable, our drinking water remains among the best in the world and our rivers and beaches are cleaner than ever before. This success has been underpinned by partnerships, in particular with investors.
While the sector remains attractive to investors, the economic climate is challenging. There are competing political narratives - investing for growth, deficit reduction, and the cost of living - and significant regulatory and legislative changes underway.
The Water UK 14th Annual City Conference, held tomorrow (Thursday 6 March), brings together representatives from the City, government and the water industry to discuss the prospects for the sector.
